You might be thinking, "Why should I even bother reading when I could be doing other things like watching T.V?" Well, I'm going to tell you the reasons why you should read.

 

Reading is important because it teaches you many things! You can learn things you never even knew before! You learn how to write and spell because when you read, you look at all the words and remember them.

 

It also strengthens your imagination because when you watch T.V you are just watching the story take place, but novels usually have little or no pictures so you can imagine all the characters and setting. I'm not saying you shouldn't watch T.V, I just think you should read books too.

 

Reading is also a good way to relax. You can just sit on your bed or in a chair and read a book, it is like watching a mini-movie in your head.

 

Finally, reading is a good way of keeping entertained. If you get bored, you can just sit down and read a book! Books are not

that big so you could take it anywhere! You also don't have to

plug books into electrical sockets and they don't run out of

charge!
